Tip: Test Pages in Lynx, with Bobby and with your Students!

There are many great tools available for checking your Web pages to make sure that they are accessible to all of your students. Some of the most popular tools, Bobby, Lynx View and TOM, are explained further in the Tools and Tutorials section of this site.

Using these tools is a good way to check for and correct any obvious limitations with regards to the accessibility of your site. But don't overlook the most important design resource available -- Your students! Ask your students to comment on the layout and features of your site and listen to their comments! You may find that what you felt was an intuitive site design is not so intuitive for your students. Accessibility is about good design and any site is only effective if it can be accessed by all users.
